Cypress Hills
As the camp is located in a provincial park, there is a gate fee when you bring your child to camp. If you explain that you are just dropping off your child, they may give you a temporary permit - you will have to leave your licence plate number with them. There are many advantages to having our camp in the park. The park provides 24 hour security staff, highly trained first aid staff, and a swimming pool among other wonderful things.
The climate in the Cypress Hills is different from the surrounding grass land. It is sometimes cooler, for example, so campers should come prepared for that. Our camp is set in a lodgepole pine forest, and the park is full of unique and wonderful natural life. We see deer very often, moose occasionally, squirrels constantly...and at night we are sometimes visited by porcupines.
