How To Get To Shagabec
Camp Shagabec is located in the beautiful Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park (306 662 5411) in Southwestern Saskatchewan, Canada. To get there from the North, take the Transcanada Highway to Maple Creek, then continue South of Maple Creek another 30 km on highway 21, and follow the signs in to the park. NOTE: Do NOT take the road to Fort Walsh, it does not lead to the Cypress Hills Center Block. Do NOT come across the Cypress Hills from Elkwater, this road is impassible most of the time.
Once in the park, go through the entry gate (NOTE: if you are just dropping a camper or counsellor off, you might not have to pay to get into the park), turn left at the General Store and head up the hill. You will pass by the swimming pool on the right. After 0.5 kilometers, you will see a sign that says, "Institutional Camps", turn right, and then take your next right. You should see a sign that says, "Welcome to Camp Shagabec". Good job, you made it! Drive down the hill, and get ready for a great time :)
